Apply to be accepted into the program. If you are interested, please email a letter of interest articulating why you would like to become a SPELL-Links Certified Provider, along with a copy of your CV or resume to firstname.lastname@example.org. A $50 non-refundable application fee is required.
The SPELL-Links Certified Provider Program is a multi-phased process that equips you with an in-depth understanding of the pedagogical framework and research basis of the multi-linguistic, meta-linguistic, speech-to-print approach of the SPELL-Links assessment (SPELL-2, SPELL-2g) and the SPELL-Links to Reading & Writing™ curriculum. The SPELL-Links Certified Provider Program also provides you with the clinical training and experience that will enable you to implement the SPELL-Links assessment and the SPELL-Links to Reading & Writing curriculum with fidelity. After successfully completing the process, you will receive a variety of support tools to use in highlighting your certification and to promote your practice.
The program is a rigorous journey that requires completion of professional development webinars; completion of a phonological awareness assessment to demonstrate your own competency with these skills; attendance at and successful participation in a hands-on product implementation workshop; completion of the SPELL-Links Simucase: Eleanor; submissions of a video application and written self-critique; completion of a practicum and mentoring phase; engagement with colleagues through postings in our professional learning community, Link’d PASS; and completion of a written reflection.
Certification requirements are subject to change. Once accepted into the SPELL-Links Certification Program, you must complete the certification requirements in place at the time you are accepted into the program within one year of receiving your acceptance letter.
